Backers that pledged after May 17th will be included in our second production batch and will receive their reward during October 2020. We have started mass production. Shipping time in the USA is 3-8 day delivery. Shipping time for International orders is 7-21 days.

What makes POWERUP 4.0 so versatile and easy to fly?
The POWERUP 4.0 light weight universal design is equipped with an onboard flight controller and 2 sensors - a Gyro and Accelerometer, the airplane is controlled by a fly-by-wire sensor driven autopilot and auto stabalization software. Additionally the two high speed thrust vectoring motors provide high thrust to weight ratio (2:1) enabling the pilot to use additional payloads and material options. The POWERUP 4.0 will eliminate accidental nose dives, stalls and spirals, the airplane will recover from almost any launch style and can also manage windy conditions. You can fly small or big wings slow flight and high speed high G aerobatics, it is up to you.

Shipping time in the USA is 3-8 day delivery. Shipping time for International orders is 7-21 days. POWERUP 4.0 will not deliver before Chrismas 2019.

Ascending & descending is achieved by increasing or decreasing the dual propellers speed, by sliding the throttle on the screen up or down. Steering is done by the thrust vectoring twin motors, tilting the phone right or left generate differential thrust and steer the airplane in the direction you want.

The 4.0 does not have a camera. but thanks to the over powered design you can easily add an external camera and battery of your choice as long as it is under 0.7 ox/20 grams

How easy is it to fly POWERUP 4.0?
POWERUP 4.0 sensor driven technology makes flying a breeze even for beginner pilots. The onboard flight control software in combination with the intuitive app user interface, removes the risk of nose dives and stalls even if you did not trim your airplane properly or if your folds are not symmetrical. The module can be attached to multiple designs and materials and still allows for easy control . The app is equipped with optional flight modes for various flight levels and styles for example beginner mode aerobatic mode and night flight mode. Flying aerobatics now ultra easy with a press of a button. Taking off with landing gear (only supplied with the pro kits) does not require any trimming of the gear just throttle up and go

What is the take off distance? From which surface can it take off?
Taking off with the wheels (supplied only with the Pro kits) can be done from almost any surface. Take off distance is approximately 10-20 feet/ 3-6 metes , this depends on the wing design and weight of the airplane you constructed.

How durable is the POWERUP 4.0?
The POWERUP 4.0 is made of durable material: Carbon fiber rods, Nylon reinforced with glass fiber and Polypropylene plastics and a rubber bumper. It can withstand some impressive crashes. Having said that, no flying machine is unbreakable. Flying on a soft surface will prolong the POWERUP DART life. Spare parts for repair and maintenance are will be available on Backerkit ad-ons and on our website. Paper wing damaged ? just fold a new one.

Is it possible to fly multiple airplanes at the same time and in close vicinity?
Yes you can. POWERUP 4.0 is much more fun to fly with friends. Try a dog fight or coordinated aerobatic formation. The Bluetooth signal does not interfere, you can fly as many POWERUP’s as you like together.

No need to register, POWERUP 4.0 weight is less than 0.67 oz/19 grams, the FAA requires registration for drones that weigh 0.5 lb/250 grams or more.

For US backers there are no customs duties. All other destinations world wide VAT local post handling charges & Duty may apply depending on your country. Unfortunately we do not accept returns from Kickstarter projects. We will however repair or replace a defective unit as part of our warranty policy. We provide a full 1 year warranty on all parts aside the propellers and battery. Battery warranty - 6 months from order.

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
